Mark Olson

President

Mark Olson has practiced law in the area of creditor rights since founding Olson Shaner (then Olson Associates) in 1993, earning a reputation for zealous representation and obtaining high recovery rates. He has helped shaped debt collection in Utah through several landmark cases and through lobbying to change laws and rules unfair to creditors. Outside the office Mark loves spending time with his wife and three children, whether it be traveling, running together or at home.

Chip Shaner

Managing Partner

Chip Shaner joined Olson Associates in April of 2004, and was made partner in August of 2007. Chip's practice has been largely in the collection of consumer and commercial debts.

B. Joseph Beecroft

Associate Attorney

B. Joseph Beecroft joined Olson Associates in July of 2005. Joseph's practice has focused largely in the collection of consumer and commercial debts involving all aspects of litigation. He also has experience in the drafting/revision of contracts and corporate documents. In addition to his work, Joseph enjoys running, camping and spending time with his family. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys using this language when presented with opportunities.
